Poor Lads

I don't seem to be able to make my titles fit these days.

The first image in the triptych i produced for the end of my 3rd year of university. I won't explain what it's about as that defeats the purpose but i hope some of what i'm trying to say comes across but please take the time to look at it for more than just a drawing.
My apologies for the triptych being separated, i've been searching for a decent online image editor and ceased to find one that would sew images together. Rubbish.

Silverpoint.

This is a great drawing! Chapeau!! Did you used a photo as a reference for drawing the boys ? I ask because i think i have seen the boys before.. :-)
It's a old historical photo of boys working in a mine, in front of them you can see a railroad. There's one adult on the photo.Unfortunately, I couldn't retrieve the title of the photograph.

thank you =]

The boys are referenced from a photo by Lewis Hine, there was no adult but there's plenty more where this kind of photograph came from.
I don't usually like to draw so directly but where else was i going to get miner boys!

Uhh, do you know in the shop? At that back, you can buy brown chipboard type stuff? Well, the small size of that! Not quite A2 and not quite A3, i think...

An thank you!
