A journal entry to thank everybody for even looking at my very first Daily Deviation. It was pretty awesome of you =]
I'm currently trying to reply to everybody personally but i keep giving myself typists finger. Not fun. So, this is a lazy, general thank you. Just incase my appendages seize up and wither away! =]
Cheers!

Your work is wonderful. Edgy and thoughtful. It reminds me of Marlene Dumas in places and she's pretty darn good.

I've never considered myself a "foot person", but the feet do add a great focus for detail and imply a certain amount of mobility.
I think it's too easy for people to just dismiss the image of feet because they happen to have a disliking for them, to be fair, that's true of most dislikes but it's an unfair dismissal. I was known as the 'foot' girl for a semester at uni because of that project and like yourself i'm not a foot person either but i saw the advantages to the message they can convey. Perhaps the dislike should be embraced rather than ignored.
I think Ripe, Ripen and Low-tus work especially well, cannot wait to see what this is all building up to!
